BROWN RICE ELBOWS WITH BROCCOLI AND KALE

After a long day of work, I came home and made this meal for myself, my brother and Benjamin. This meal takes 15 minutes from start to finish. 

Ingredients (All Organic)

  • Brown rice elbows (Jovial)
  • Broccoli
  • Kale 
  • Organico Bello spicy marinara 
  • Rawmesan, vegan cheese 
  • Vegetable broth 
  • Sea salt 
  • Black pepper 
  • Olive oil

Process 

  1. Bring water to a boil 
  2. Add brown rice elbows with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and a dash of sea salt 
  3. Keep the pasta in for 10 minutes on a low heat 
  4. While macaroni is cooking, rinse and chop broccoli and kale 
  5. Add about an inch of water to a large saucepan (Click Here) for the saucepan I like to use
  6. Once the water comes to a boil, add broccoli for about 4 minutes (this is such a quick way to cook broccoli) 
  7. Drain the water from the broccoli 
  8. Add the broccoli and kale back in the saucepan with 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  9. Saute for 2 minutes 
  10. At 10 minutes turn the stove off and leave macaroni in the water for 1 minute 
  11. Drain macaroni 
  12. Add everything in a large saucepan on low heat
  13. Add about a cup of sauce, 4 tablespoons of Rawmeasan, sea salt and black pepper to taste 
  14. Serves about 4 people
