This combination for this warming bowl is so flavorful, and one of my personal favorites. I like to keep things simple when it comes to meals, whole/clean ingredients. Rice bowls are a favorite of mine (embrace the carbs!) because it's like getting to work off of a blank looks a little different every time. I always like to keep brown rice prepared because I can get really creative with a bowl, like this one. Sauteeing mushrooms and adding spices (garlic and pepper in this case) is ideal because the mushrooms really absorb flavor. Mushrooms are also an amazing source for antioxidants (hello clearer skin!) 

Ingredients (All Organic) 

  • Pre- cooked brown rice
  • Chickpeas (click here) for how I prepare them
  • Green peas
  • Mushrooms
  • White onions
  • Chopped garlic
  • Sea salt
  • Ground pepper


  1. Sauté chickpeas, green peas, mushrooms, white onions
  2. Add in garlic, sea salt and ground pepper
  3. Place vegetables over pre- cooked brown rice
  4. Mix vegetables with rice
