MY GO TO ORDER'S WHEN EATING OUT IN NYC

FullSizeRender.jpg+3.jpg

Here is a look inside how I order plant based in New York City in both vegan/vegetarian restaurants and non-exclusively vegan/vegetarian restaurants.

Here are some quick tips when ordering out and how not to be an annoying vegan : )

1.  No need to announce you’re vegan to everyone, pull your server aside and use some of my tips and go-to orders to make it easy.

2. Ask the server if they offer any vegan dishes or have a vegan menu.

3. Always confirm the dressing and/or sauce is dairy free BEFORE ordering.

4. Ask for light dressing or dressing on the side (taste before you dress your salad).

5. If all else fails, select a few vegan sides and ask the server to put all of your sides on one dinner plate as your entree.
